Bataydo is a collectible card game that does not exist — although I fantasized about making it several times when I was younger. It was made as part of the Imaginary Cards Jam.

But it is a game about splashing your friends with as much water as possible. Every year, climate change concerns make the very idea of the game less and less responsible — so here's a glint of a game that does not exist.

Bataydo is a phonetic pronunciation of "bataille d'eau", which means "water battle" and tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

In Bataydo, score a maximum of points before the end of the day. The game is for 2 players and more (some cards can affect more than 2 players, so the meta of the game changes with the number of players).

Many cards are available* to score points against your friends by splashing them with water... or different techniques altogether, going from legit strategy, to vicious out-of-turn bullshit, to complete absurdity. And the terrain in which you find yourselves battling will also have varying effects !
