Bouldenej is a collectible card game that does not exist, made as part of the Imaginary Cards Jam.

"Bouldenej" is a phonetic transcription of "boule de neige", which means "snowball".

In theory, the game would work like this :

• two players are having snowball fights during the winter, and try to bring their opponent's Winter Spirit to 0.
• the season progresses after each round : after X days, Spring comes inexorably for the players, who both lose all of their Winter Spirit once it happens. There's a little counter bar, or a stack of tokens with a pretty sun-and-grass motif to represent the countdown to Spring.
• so you're incentivized to play fast... except some cards can only be played at specific moments.
• players play cards on their side to affect their opponent or defend themselves. Some cards also play automatically or out of turn. There are many types of cards, from items to maneuvers and events.
• The theme is overall kid-friendly and happy, but it's very much a game of attrition.
